Being so social is a lot of work. We all know that social networking is consuming the internet more and more, but the realization that I was part of the problem didn’t occur to me until earlier today when I decided to update my accounts.

I sat down and started compiling all my profiles to put a standard pic on each site. I started with FriendFeed since I knew most of my accounts were already there. I tackled them all one at a time, but not all of them live on FF. Argghh!

So onto MySpace, UrbanSpoon and Ning. Before I knew it I had 14 social nets.

I don’t even use all of these things! Why am I doing this! I’m on the internet all day anyway, do I have time for all this? W. T. F.

Updating Twitter is so easy from my phone and it’s integration with Facebook really improves my use of it. I’d been off FB for several months until I became more active on Twitter.

Anyway it took me about an hour, I’m happy to say all my accounts are up to date. So if you want to follow, friend, et al me you’ll find all the appropriate info over to the right somewhere. But I have to warn you, it may take me a while to update them all.
